LUCY WATSON

Marketer, Writer, Producer, Creator

I studied English, History and Cultural Studies at the University of Melbourne (with an exchange to the University of Edinburgh to further study history). After a decade of writing and performing comedy (including several Melbourne International Comedy Festival shows) I moved into film & TV production, then digital production, and finally marketing and copywriting where I have worked on campaigns and written copy for brands such as The Age, AFR and Stomping Ground Brewing Co. I have also been editor and chief contributor to online magazine In Batmania (now By The Nylex), presented my own radio show on Resonance FM (in London) and been working on an historical novel for several years.

I am currently a marketer, copywriter and content strategist with extensive experience in creating engaging campaigns and content which connects brands and/or organisations with a targeted audience to tell a brand story.

I have years of experience in digital and traditional marketing strategy and implementation, copywriting across print, digital, packaging and outdoor, film and video production, management of national marketing campaigns (including ‘The Daily Habit of Successful People’ for the Australian Financial Review), social media strategy and execution, website management, eDMs and much more.

I currently run marketing and PR for Holgate Brewhouse, as well as teach Story & Narrative, Written Communications, Social Media Strategy, and Content Strategy at Collarts and Macleay College.

I also love food and wine, travel, film & TV, comedy and history.
